I Angelology:

Angels are Spiritual Beings. They are sexless but appear to be masculine. They are dependent upon the power of God and work according to His Will. (Colossians 01:16. Jude 01:09). In Jewish tradition there are 7 Archangels. Of these seven, two are mentioned in the Bible; Gabriel and Michael. They are numbered in thousands. Luke 01:19. They have different power and Order.
“Are not angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 01:14).
“He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants” (Psalm 104:04).
“Yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous against such beings in the presence of the Lord” (2 Peter 02:11).
“Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones, who do His bidding, who obey His Word” (Psalm 103:20).
“And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain" Revelation 20:01).
“But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you” (Jude 01:09)

2.1 Level and Effects:
Psychiatrists believe that people believe from the symptoms of Harry Mitt and Malingers. These diseases are similar to being demon possessed. The common symptoms are that people are not helpful and responsible for their actions.
2.2 Mental illness:
It is difficult to define it. Bockoven says that 96 percent of all illness has a psychosomatic basis.
Two Errors in people regarding healing:
· Disbelieve in their existence
· Feel an unhealthy and excessive information about them

Occult is derived from a Latin Word “Occultis” which means secret or hidden powers. These powers are beyond human senses and abilities It deals with the Super-natural presence of demonic forces – witchcraft, fortune telling, Satanism, spiritism, use of crystal balls and dream catchers etc. In 1960’s there was a huge explosion on occults. In 1980’s two hundred thousand copies of the “Super Natural powers” was sold. Four million people are on the mailing lists of occult books. People these days are using the media (Television, movies, radio, adverts, horoscopes in the newspapers etc) to promote occultism. Vamps, Vampires and witches have all sorts of black magic powers. They drink human blood and have their teeth sharpened for that. They believe that by sucking the blood from the body they can have the powers of the other person.
These demons force people to carnal thoughts and indulgences. They cause fear, shock, rapes to manipulate people. They further cause serious oppression by yielding to the occult. (Exodus 20:03-05) e.g. fortune telling, black/ white magic. People allow opening themselves to areas where they are touched and are opened to satanic powers.
2.4 The Super Natural:
It is existent. Ephesians 06:12. The Kingdom of God is that of the Kingdom of Light. The other rule is that of darkness and wickedness.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the evil one. Satan wants to destroy what God wants to build. On the television Satan is de-mythologized. His false picture or illusion is shown on the television to misguide people. Scary images are shown whereas Satan is not like that. He was on of the beautiful angels in Genesis. The church has to beware of such fake images as shown by the media.

The supernaturalism of Christians is openness and freedom from being born again. The opposite to that is closed, secret and people getting into bondage. People want to find out something exciting for their satisfaction. They get involved in them for they begin to find out answers for themselves. Being superstitious is also being a victim of occult. As Christians we cannot compromise with evil. The Bible condemns all such practises that are evil. People who are caught in depression, rebellious, psychological disturbances are all victims of a greater power that they are. It is like playing with dynamite.

Lucifer (Bright Light), who was a Worship Leader, compelled them to rebel against Father God because he was jealous of God and wanted to be like him and share His glory. He was next to God in beauty and glory and had a privileged position. He wanted to be worshiped like God. He was not satisfied with his high position. Lucifer along with numerous other angels was thrown away (banished) to the earth because of this rebellion. Some angels are further bound. Satan has gained control in certain areas of the world. His army of demons is like a military structure.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" Ephesians 06:12 )
2 Corinthians 11:14 – He is an angel of light
1 Peter 05:08-09 - He is father of all lies.

1 Thessalonians 03:05 – He is a tempter seeking to tempt the people of God.

He is known as the father of all lies. (1 Peter 05:08-09). Our strongest weapon against him is our faith in Jesus. We will further judge him with Jesus and this is our rank and destination.

2.6.1 Oppression: They oppress people and stop/hinder physical and verbal expression. Depression is an example creating the state of inertia.
2.6.2 Suppression: Stubbornness inside people hindering them to lift their arms in worship. They are prevented to speak and sharing things.
2.6.3 Possession: These spirits manifest in an expression of secret activities, desires and impelling people, deprivation, demons possess the mind – 2 Corinthians 11:03. They continue the attacks by disturbing the thoughts and mind. 2 Corinthians 10:03-05. They enemy makes the person completely fed up. He attacks the physical body (dumb, deaf and blind spirits).

These are secretive mental pressures applied to people. They can isolate the person by flattering them. They keep him isolated and do not allow him to talk to fellow members. It is therefore isolation in an isolated place. It is like being captures. Mooney’s used sex as a secretive weapon to isolate people.

3.1 Steps to identify enemy’s foothold in life:
1. Check your relationship with God. Confess and sort out things so that the enemy does not have a TOPOS – Geographical Area (Foothold). Satan can move his forces to that area and lead the attack in our lives.
2. Prayer and Fasting should be a life style
3. Use the authority of Jesus. Mark 16:17
3.2 The persons to be ministered for deliverance:
1. Are they Christians?
2. Do they need repentance?
3. Are they willing to repent and delivered?
4. Keep the time simple, quiet and ordered. Do not allow the Spirit to manipulate. They have got to respect the name of Jesus. Some kind of manifestation will happen.
5. After their deliverance, prayer, praise and thanks giving, continued Bible Study, fellowship and follow-up. They need a place in a house group to be cared, fed and mentored.
